It is with sadness that the Board of the BSGC announces that the group is ceasing operations as of December 31, 2013. We will no longer hold monthly meetings or events.
After many requests for members to get involved or join the board, we have no volunteers to run for President and Vice President/Program Chair for 2014. Because of this, low attendance at meetings, lack of volunteers and decreasing membership, the Board of Directors has voted to dissolve the Bead Society of Greater Chicago after 26 years. Current members will receive a prorated refund of dues in the New Year. The board will be looking into charitable organizations to which the outstanding assets can be donated.
We will continue to maintain this website for special announcements until the domain runs out later in 2014. We hope you have found your membership in BSGC to be valuable and that you will continue to enjoy beading.
